If you’ve been reading my blog for some time, you will have noticed that typically when I post an online deal, I will mention that you should go through a cash back site, like Ebates to earn cash back on your online purchases. It doesn’t cost you anything but an extra 30 seconds of your time and you earn CASH just for making purchases!
With Ebates, you can earn cash back at any of over 1,200 stores any time you start your shopping trip at Ebates.com. There are no points to redeem, no forms to mail in, and no fees. Stores pay Ebates a sales commission for sending shoppers their way, and Ebates uses the commission to pay you cash back.
Here’s a brief walk-through that will hopefully give you a better understanding as to how this site works.

First of all, you’ll need to Register with Ebates and create an account. (It’s completely FREE!)

Everytime you shop online, you’ll want to first login to your Ebates account.

Search for the online store you are shopping with. For example, if you want to shop at TheBodyShop.com, you will first go to Ebates, then search “The Body Shop” or find it in the alphabetical store list. Your search results are shown below.

Click “Shop Now” and a tracking ticket will be created. You will then be linked to TheBodyShop.com where you just shop as you normally would. You can even use coupon codes. The only difference is, Ebates is tracking your purchases so you can earn cash back.
If you notice, each store has a different cash back percentage. In this case, The Body Shop currently yields 10% cash back. It takes anywhere from 3-5 days to see your cash back deposited to your Ebates account after your purchases have been completed.

Here’s the awesome thing about Ebates…Provided you have at least $5.01 in your account, they send you a check every quarter! Plus, just for signing up you will receive a $10 gift card to one of the following stores:
If you do not have at least $5.01 in your account (not counting your bonus), your balance just carries over to the next quarter. You never lose your money.

Frances, common sense should tell you that my having to subscribe to a daily e-mail for a giveaway will not increase her customer base. I obviously was already here. Thanks for giving me a laugh today.

Kim, it irritates me that you would leave this comment. You do know that this is how she makes money, right? This is her job. Would you work somewhere for free? The more followers she has the more money she makes. Followers to a blogger are like customers to a business. Giveaways are how she increases her customer base (followers). She doesn’t have to give anything away and if you don’t want to participate in the contest you don’t have to. You can just take all her free knowledge and be on your way. Anytime that you sign up to get something free you have to give them something in return like your info, etc. Do you not understand how the world works?
Forgot to mention I do not have facebook or Twitter accounts either and do not want to sign up for them. Even if it was for just coupon and entries like this.
It is so irritating to have to either subscribe to daily e-mails or follow someone on facebook or Twitter. Even though I have always sent stuff like this my my junk e-mail account I do check have to check it, in case I were to ever win anything. I applaud some of the bloggers who have recently stopped this requirement and hope you do as well. We shouldn’t have to subscribe to enter.
