DeanaOc, wow! that is just not right of that employee!! first of all i would not let that discourage you…that is why krogers has in place a 1800 number or its website or fb page for customers to let them know about their experiences…be it good or bad. they in turn will forward that on to the store, at which time the manager must review the incident and also get back with you if you leave a phone number for them to contact…then they must report back to their higher up bosses on how they handled the situation and how it was resolved or what was done to make it right…everyone is held accountable for their actions good or bad this way…but nothing will come of those that are making statements like this or they will never be able to correct their employees or management if it is not reported and looked into to see if there is a miscommunication going on in this store about what the policy actually should be…yes, it is up to management to set a policy on how many and like kind, but they also need to be consistent and not change everytime you walk in the door….ours is 5 like manufacturer paper qs and 2 like internet printable manufacturer qs per person per transaction per day…those statements she made may very well be their opinion and not that of krogers….krogers is about making the customers experience a good one so that they will return…i don’t think corporate would appreciate this kind of statement made by one of their employees or that they are not informing all @ a consistent policy.

Aww well while I love your blog I unfortunately wont be going to Krogers anymore.. our Krogers in Virginia Beach are so inconvenient that I will no longer shop there. Everytime I go in there’s a different coupon policy and when I explain that’s not what their corporate policy says they use the “Oh well final say is up to store managers” the final straw was being told today I can only use 1 internet coupon per transaction— like not 1 kind of internet coupon but 1 internet coupon period! Then the lady told me that Kroger is trying to discourage coupons because they lose too much money..? Correct me if I’m wrong but don’t they send in the coupons and get reimbursed from the manufactures?? Anyways.. *end rant*
