Hmm. Bought 2 groups of 3 L’Oreal Advanced Haircare products today (Sat. 3/21, Lou.KY) at Kroger, but the Catalina printed was only for $1.50 with each transaction. No cat shelf tags. Guess I’ll have to contact Cat Support for first time ever.
I have just started shopping at Kroger’s recently and following this website. I’m still new to the catalina’s so I have a question about them. Can you use a catalina on the same purchase that it printed out on? I was shopping one time and at the end of my transaction (before I paid), the cashier held up what I assumed to be a catalina and asked me if I wanted to use it now. Then, another time, I asked the cashier if a catalina was printing and she said it would not print until I paid and the transaction was complete. Does this just depend on the cashier you get?
Ok so I went to Kroger a at 6am today and finally I was able to find the L’Oréal shampoo and conditioner so of course I had split them into six transaction so I can get the catalina right.? Well guess what nothing printed out!!!! I spoke to the manager who stated to me that there were no cats printing at all. So now I have to go through catalina support system to try to get my catalinas.
It has been a long morning for me. It took my cashier an hour to scan my coupons because she read each and everyone!!!! Uuuughhhhhhh SHE REALLY READ EACH COUPON AS IF I WAS TRYING TO RIP HER OFF!!! Even if she had already read some of the coupons prior to the the next transaction. WTF!!!

Only one cat prints. That’s what i was told by manager when i asked her why only 1 printed when i had 8 items.. Also one of my $4 coupon scanned for $2!… She refunded me $4 🙂
can anyone tell me if this cat will print more then once in a transaction? like if I buy 6 products will I get two 3$ cats?
I know only one prints per transaction. You have to break the items into more than one transaction to get more than one catalina.

you cant but some people will use if it scans and your cashier doesn’t read it.
Does anyone know if the Catalina prints if you purchase the “smooth intense?” I heard/read that that kind does trigger the catalina to print. But, I see Katie has it pictured above!
Weird but when I bought 3 of the “smooth intense” a $1.50 cat printed. When I went in the next day a bought 3 different types a $3.00 cat printed.
I bought 4 of the smooth intense bonus 25% ones and the $3 Cat printed, I’m in Ohio though, not sure if that matters?

I have a $5 off $20 worth of L’oreal, can I combine this offer with the $4/2? If I did my scenario would look like this: Buy 8 @ $2.99=$24 use the $5 off= $19 then use my (4) $4/2 Totalling $3 oop! Do I get 2 Catilina coupons or just one?

I didn’t think the Catalina’s printed more than one. Did she buy all 20 at once or did separate transactions? The stores normally have a limit on the number of transactions. I’m in Houston, TX and my store allows one transaction per person.
My RedPlum in Southern WV did not have a new L’Oreal Paris shampoo conditioner coupon in it! Was regional our did something just happen at the store? I bought 5 papers and none had them in it.

No, only for the said Haircare treatment OR hairstyle product. I think those hairspray are $2.99 also but i might be wrong.

Irritated why don’t you talk to to the general manager of your store and suggest to him that the store should order double of the shampoo and conditioner because of the mega sale.if you hear that another shipment comes in make sure to have someone hold on to two bottles.
You stated that you knew these where on sale why didn’t you go yesterday to the store and pick them up?

plain and simple: 1 i didnt have the coupon before i clocked in for work yesterday as it was given to me by the same co worker who told me about this site. 2. i cant buy things on the clock 3. my store does not hold things for employees.
While, im sure not all of your are like this, i just want it to be stated that i am disgusted with the behavior of some people with items like this. I have ONE $4/2 coupon i wanted to use on these bc i (a normal human being who does not have a “stock pile” of anything) am actually out of shampoo. There are 3 krogers in my area (one of which i work at) and all 3 were completely cleaned out. I understand this is a hot item and an incredible deal and it would go quick, but I what witnessed at my own store while i was on the clock made me cringe. from where my work station is, i could see the employee who stocks the GM items, refilling this…and i thought to my self “yay! i just need one shamp and one cond and ill be happy, ill just get them when i clock out” I was going to pair it with the .99 motts for my kids, they love apple juice. but, nope. 30 mins later here comes ONE person, who completely cleaned it out, not bc she needs 20 bottles of shampoo but bc she apparently had endless coupons and did it just bc she could, and at check out she bragged she also cleaned out the other two stores. Now this seems like a really useful website that saves a lot of people a lot of money and i am actually impressed with it and i plan on frequently visiting to find a good deal on things i actually need and ill actually use. But i think its important for the one who really go “krazy” with things like this, this this behavior is greedy and disgusting and you’re the reason people like me cant have nice things. instead i ended up buying what i always do bc i live paycheck to paycheck, a bottle of V05 not on sale for like 80 something cents.
I have to agree that it is quite frustrating to try to get a deal and it’s COMPLETELY gone… and from one person… Fortunately my local store does limit the total number of an item that one person can buy. There is a limit (I think) on those coupons… I would bring it up to the manager that the rules of the coupons may not be being followed. While I love a good deal as much as anyone else, I agree that some of what I see is greedy and disgusting… Katie does a really good job of making sure that she follows the rules in her deals and that’s one reason I love her website.
yes. this looks like a wonderful site and as i said i plan on using it. and i have been with kroger for a long time and i see all sorts of people that come in a coupon and the ones who make it easy and follow the rules at check out i have nothing against, and im happy they are happy and saving money, good for them. but i guess what just made me go over the edge with irritation on this particular thing was, when i saw her clean it out i was bummed, yes, but then the fact that i am a key holder for the front end i was the one who had to deal with her when she gave the cashier a hard time because we dont do cash back. so not only did she clean us out she wanted me to pay her, lol.
I too work at Kroger, I am a closing cashier, I usually do my shopping at the end of the night, when the stockers are filling shelves, they usually begin doing this around 10pm. I would assume you know this. This is the best time to get those “hot” items. I sometimes push a small shopping cart, on my way to a restroom break and grab a few things along the way.
I also have a stock pile, which supports 3 families, and a few friends. I do have about 20 of these shampoo/conditioners. I have submitted requests with the manager to order things for me, when I am not as quick as my couponing sisters, I have also requested rain checks when the shelves are bare. Kroger is really good about pleasing the customers, even when you are an employee. So if you didn’t get your shampoo the fault is your lack of effort, couponing is not easy. Sometimes it can be frustrating, but in the end it is worth it.

not so much lack of effort, as much as it was, being an employee i was trying to follow the rules. when i was hired i was told employees are not allowed to put things back for themselves. i dont know how much this rule is actually enforced bc ive never tried. but, i guess it wouldnt hurt to explain the situation to my supervisor and see if she wont let me hold just 2 bottles, if not ill have to resort to a rain check.<<<<< also, i didnt know until just a few mins ago that they are on next weeks ad too so i thought i had missed my only chance. now that i know i have time, i will be prepared. thank you for the suggestions. i want my shampoo! i hate v05 🙁
Even if you don’t get your shampoo from Kroger/Dillons, there are other stores out there that take coupons and run sales. I don’t understand all the drama. Also maybe if you worked on your stockpile a little at a time all the hating would stop because you wouldn’t be hurting for shampoo or anything else that you need. Kroger/Dillons had suave on sale two weeks ago for .19 cents! Yes it was labeled men’s but shampoo is shampoo when it’s 19 cents.
you dont understand the drama bc you are assuming im a “couponer”. i was just voicing my opinion about greedy people on items like this from an average persons view hoping to get some reassurance that not all of you are like that and that woman is just a bad one(and incredibly rude to my cashier and to me). but, some of these replies are just proving my point. im done with this.
The 2 Ralph’s stores I usually go to stop giving Catalina last week. But for the past 2 weeks I had been getting it.

Lauren… Mine isn’t advertised either and it still works. You just have to try to see if it works in your area. : )
