Make sure you have loaded your Upromise, Shortcuts, Cellfire and new Kroger e-coupons onto your shopper’s card – if you purchase an item that is on Shortcuts, Cellfire or e-Coupons lists, it is automatically deducted at checkout! Plus, you can use a paper coupon on the same item as well. e-coupons do NOT double.

Anna
Thanks…that was perfect!
Katarina
Thanks for the great question Anna! The direct answer to your question is YES you can use both, NO the coupon will not beep. The long explanation is that while Cellfire and Shortcuts do not advocate using paper coupons and e-coupons together, there is no way (for now) to regulate this and the bottom line is…they want you to use their company! My opinion is that you CAN and SHOULD use your paper coupons, and here’s my #1 reason for feeling this way. Once you load your e-coupons to your card, there is no way to remove them. Who’s to say you don’t come across a higher value paper coupon while shopping and choose to use that one instead. The e-coupon comes off automatically once you scan your loyalty card, so you don’t have a choice there. So, in my opinion, until they let us choose WHICH coupon we would like to use at checkout – electronic or paper…we get to use both! Hope this answers your question!
Anna
I’m new to your blog. But, if you use a paper coupon, does it beep because the e-coupons, cellfire, etc. were already used? Or does it just go through even if you technically already used a manufacturers coupon?
