I did this today at 2 kroger’s. The first one was mayhem they were acting like I didn’t know what I was talking about. The manager tried to limit my transactions but I ended up getting all of them even with the eye rolls and cashier playing stupid. The second one they were so nice and friendly the girl kaisha was the best cashier ringed me up with no problems and deducted the $2 even when her coupon machine was broken. I bought 36 packs of kotex pads will go to great use. Thanks couponing is my my second love my twins are first!
They have the right to limit transactions. How fair is it to others who want to get in on the deal only to have one person clean out the shelf?
When does this catalina end? it was working at my store, but didn’t yesterday.
My Cat didn’t print, what can I do, didn’t get the 2 cats for the shout deal either.
Brenda just go up to the Customer Service counter and tell them you were supposed to get a catalina for your products and they should give you a refund there. If for some reason they don’t just return them. I never have problems getting my catalina refunded at Customer service
i got 2 of the little black box liners today without a coupon and it worked like a charm!
I try to print the coupons for the u kotex and they didn’t print out. It said that they printed out but they didn’t now I reached the limit and have no coupons.
Thats is such a bummer! Ive had that happen 🙁
The coupon says on it no valid on the liners 14-22 ct. or trial and travel packs. Even if it rings through at the register, we shouldn’t use it for those.
Oh, and I just wanted to say that the first time I read the blog I thought Katie was meaning to use the coupon on the 14-22 ct but I know thats not what she was meaning. I was simply saying that just in case others try to use it incorrectly. Happy Mega Sale Shopping!

How many catalinas can you get? IE: I bought 2 $1.00 boxes; received $2.00 cat. If I use that to pay for 2 more $1.00 boxes, would I continue to get the $2.00 catalinas? Or does it max out at some point?
so u can use the $1 /1 kotex u and the $1/2 if you are getting 2 kotex u? sorry I just dont get how they are free and I was able to print 1 q of ea.

Are we allowed to redeem multiple catalinas in one transaction? Say you have a catalina for $1 and another catalina for $1.50…can you cash them both in and use them both to pay on one transaction? Or can you only use one per transaction? Thanks!
If they are just for $1 off your next order and $1.50 off your next order, you can pay with as many as you want. But I don’t think they will pay you overage.
My store has now started paying overages. If I have a negative balance, they are now paying me cash.

You can roll the cat, but separate into diff transactions (you’d need other filler items to reach 5 mega items too). Read the orange text in this post. Katie also gives you a link to read more. HTH

yes, i was wondering the same thing, so say i buy 4 boxes of the kotex by u in one transaction and say used another mega 5 item as a filler will i get back 2- $2 catalinas or just the one?
Say you want to buy 6 boxes. You must pay for them in three separate transactions with two boxes in each transaction if you want to get three catalinas. This is because it takes a minimum purchase of two boxes to trigger the catalina (it won’t print if you purchase only one box in a transaction). However, a catalina is often only triggered once in a transaction and will not be triggered again in the same transaction, no matter how many like items you purchase (sometimes there will be exceptions, but based on my experience, only one catalina per transaction is a pretty typical standard). So, this means you must buy two to trigger the catalina to print, but it doesn’t matter how many more you buy in the same transaction- you could buy 100 more in the same transaction and you wouldn’t get any more catalinas. Thus, in this scenario, it is best to separate your purchases into separate transactions, purchasing the minimum required to trigger the catalina, and reserving the rest of what you plan to buy for separate transactions, divided appropriately.
So, that being said, with this catalina scenario in a Mega 5 event, if you want to buy 4 boxes of Kotex U and you want all of these boxes to be free, this means you need to divide your boxes between two transactions. In each transaction, you would need 2 boxes of Kotex U in addition to three other miscellaneous participating mega 5 items to get your $5 mega event discount and your $2 catalina to cover your Kotex.
