Kambell and I were cleaning out the fridge to make these yummy smoothies, so I thought I’d document it – hope it gives you a few good ideas and a little break from your day! Enjoy! 🙂

Cute video. Is that a magic bullet? I need one!

We use bruised bananas, milk, yogurt and soybutter. My boys are allergic to Peanuts.
I hate wasting also. Your daughter is precious.

I just found out about using vinegar to clean fresh berries… it kills the mold spores that can live on them so they last a LOT longer! here’s a link: http://www.foodlushblog.com/2011/07/the-key-to-preventing-moldy-berries-vinegar.html

vanilla protein powder(1 scoop), frozen strawberries, and either yogurt or skim milk, whichever I have on hand. Great for an afterworkout drink too.

nice video, and you have a really cute helper, I love smoothies, nice way to get rid of leftovers.
I took cottage cheese , pinapple , and almonds, sounds terriable but turned out really good.

I am always disappointed in myself for throwing away food – especially produce! I should really try to make it a goal of mine to use up the food “somehow” before it goes completely bad. My boys LOVE smoothies! My recipe is very similar to yours…chopped fresh fruit (they love strawberries & bananas), 1 small container of vanilla yogurt and a small cup of ice. I have a mini blender, so this works perfectly for 2 servings for 2 boys!

Your video is great! You have a really cute assistant! That is a great idea to save your expiring products and to get more life out of them! Next time add a little rum and we have a party!!
