We have a sale price on Daisy Cottage Cheese at Kroger this week. So, I have a question. Do you put cottage cheese in your lasagna? I just need to know that I’m not the only one that does this. I mean you probably have enough pasta sauce and noodles that you can buy this and whip up some for dinner.

Me too! I substituted low fat cottage cheese for ricotta once in an old recipe and my family loved it. Lower in fat and not as dry. I use a mixture of cottage cheese, parmesan cheese and raw eggs for the cheese layer. Mozzarella goes in a separate layer after the meat/tomato sauce layer.

I have a question. Is kroger employees aloud to take things off the shelf and hold it until they get off work. I went to my kroger today and they had old spice body wash on clearnies for 2.00 and the woman was stocking batteries had it beside her and I ask if it was clearnies and she said she was buying it after she got off work and it was her’s. Can any one answer this for me. Thanks.

I would have asked a manager while you were there. Some places are ok with it but usually they have to put things in a specified location until their shift is over. i had to do that at any job i had! I would ask a manager tho. not to necessarily get them in trouble…even tho secretly we would all want too so we could get the items…but just to bring it to their attention that it does not look very professional!

I called and asked to talk to a manager and he all he said is he would look into it. He didn’t say if they were aloud to or not. I asked him and he wouldn’t answer the question he just keep saying he would look into it. He didn’t sound happy. Thanks for writing back.

I use cottage cheese in my manicotti or stuffed shells. What else do you put in your lasagna? Ricotta and mozzarella?
