Your cashier is corrrect about the 2 PAH (print at home coupons), that’s always been the policy. The reason is people take advantage of those coupons by duplicating them. This results in the stores not getting reimbursed for the coupon. Just ask for a copy of the store coupon policy. I did. And it specifies the coupon limits.

Hi folks,
I just had the most aggravating experience at the Kroger in Aiken, SC (part of the Atlanta region). I was told by the cashier that I was only allowed to use a maximum of 2 PAH (print at home coupons) and 5 clipped from the newspaper per household per transaction. I have shopped at that this very same Kroger for over the past four years and never was this policy enforced on me??????!!!!! The ASSistant manager happed to be bagging my groceries at the time and he assured me that this was not a new policy but had been in force for years. Have any of you run into this problem? I guess Kroger doesn’t need my grocery, gas or pharmacy business any longer! Thank you for your time.

My Kroger just started this exact same policy about 2 weeks ago. Luckily, they informed me of it when they saw me using coupons and I was within the limits that first time. Otherwise, it would have been very frustrating. The cashiers are normally rude at my Kroger about using coupons. They always act like it is so difficult to get the printed coupons to scan. Part of my store’s new policy is also if the cashier can’t get a print at home coupon to scan, they won’t take it. So there’s no way to know until you get there and it doesn’t work. Ugh!
