Right now is the perfect time to put Steelhead on your menu. Actually anytime is perfect but if you aren’t eating meat on Fridays during Lent, then head to Kroger for some Wild Side Sanlei Steelhead Fillets for the perfect meal.
We are seeing a $9.99 sale price until March 28th on these 16 oz packages. Head to your seafood bunkers at Kroger to add a couple to your shopping cart.
I added steelhead to my meal planning for the week and I was glad to see this price while in store so I picked up a couple. My fiancé LOVES steelhead and I knew he’d easily eat half so two it was to feed the rest of my family. The Sanlei Steelhead has a softer texture and is equally suited for any rub or marinade that you apply. There’s actually a fantastic recipe on the back of the package that I loosely followed. I didn’t have parsley and cilantro, but I did have dill and we all know that goes FANTASTIC with Steelhead. I also added an orange because, YUM! Whatever combination you choose, be sure to grab all the ingredients you’ll need while at Kroger because this marinade is a winner!
Steelhead Fillets have always been a huge favorite of mine but these Sanlei Steelhead just make me feel better. Regardless if you smoke your steelhead, bake in oven or cook in a cast iron pan on the stovetop, you’re going to get an amazing, fresh taste.
Located in the Lesotho Highlands located within South Africa – that are alternately lush with abundant vegetation or shrouded in pure white snow, Sanlei grow their steelhead in the Katse dam (lake), far away from commercial agriculture or industrial operations. The pristine location is the perfect growing environment for Sanlei’s steelhead, a commodity prized around the world for its sublime quality and taste.
I hope you’re ready to head to Kroger to pick up the fresh packages of Wild Side Sanlei Steelhead Fillet and enjoy on your next dinner.
