I stocked up on the real ones from Germany this month. I bought 4 packages of 12 to share with friends and family. Yum. Germany has the Joy ones too now but they are not as good as the original ones. I have hundreds of the toys from my childhood, my brothers toys from their childhood, my daughters toys from her childhood and now my grand kids toys….. They are amazing.
You were lucky that nobody found these candies in your luggage if you brought them back to the United States. You can actually get in trouble for importing Kinder eggs. The fine is $2500 per egg. (Our country has laws that don’t allow toys to be mixed into candy products so these are illegal in the U.S.)
Kinder surprise eggs are illegal in the USA, kinder joy eggs are not. The candy and toy are separate in kinder joy eggs.
