You mention the scents in a mega event. Where can I find that info?
If you search for the refills, you will see that they are part of the B5S5 promotion. That is the mix and match deal where you get $1 off of each item if you buy 5 or more qualifying items. Where I am, they are regularly $5,99, on sale for $4.99, but would be be $3.99 with the B5S5 promotion.
