I went to 2 krogers today and was able to get two rainchecks (bc I still have 10 left of each coupon) on both pampers wipes and Gillette shaving cream with no problems at all. I live in texas idk if that has anything to do with it? The second gal was even super nice to me and wrote down different Gillette shaving gels bc she wasn’t sure which one I wanted and also explained the expiration on them.

I thought u couldn’t mix up a mq with another mq b2g1 on the Magic Erasers? Katie can u please fill me in. I’m still new at this and someone from a coupon group said that I would be misusing the coupons?! TIA

Until last night, I have never experienced a problem obtaining a raincheck for anything that is on sale, whether or not it was in the ad. Last night, I asked for a raincheck for the Mr. Clean erasers since the store was completely out. I was advised of the new policy that in the future, rainchecks will only be issued for items shown in the ad. Since I am a very good customer, the customer service representative made an exception this one time for this one item, however I learned of yet another caveat. Since this is a mega sale item, she included on the raincheck that I must purchase 5 of the same items, but with a limit of 10. I requested the raincheck in the event they don’t get more in stock before the mega sale goes out (which appears to occur frequently with popular items in mega sales) and also so protect the price since I have witnessed more and more often pricing changes in the second week of mega sales. Fortunately, I had already obtained rainchecks earlier in the week for other sold out mega event items. But this will likely further limit my ability to take advantage of great price opportunities (compounded with the loss of double coupons ), since I work and my shopping time is limited.

My store has always gone by that policy of no rainchecks in items not in the ad. It’s rather impossible to shop the megas here. They will prob. Not have the magic erasers, m&m’s, garnier, or wipes the entire time.

Here in B.G. they have changed it to what the coupon saies, four like coupon and four per day. all the items are cleared here and they ain’t really stocking them back up. Every time I go in still nothing there. this is aggravating that people think they need that much stuff. I would like just to get my four. They ain’t even taking pre orders, they say that we are stealing from them and they are changing it. the manager here was going off last Wednesday about people and there binders coming and clearing the shelves no more.

What I think is weird about store managers getting their dander up is this: Since they do get reimbursed by the manufacturer on the coupon amounts; then why don’t they stock the shelves to the ceiling and rake in a stack of money. I agree, it is incredibly frustrating to get to the store and shelves wiped clean.

Just an FYI… I stopped in at Kroger today and they were out of several items that I wanted. When I went to get a rain check, the girls at the counter said that they received a policy change from corporate this morning and they will only be able to provide rain checks on items featured in the ad, not on any unadvertised deals.
This new policy really frustrates me because we have so many shelf-clearers in the area and rainchecks are usually the only way I can have a chance at some of these deals. If it’s an unadvertised deal, I know I can’t price match at Wal-Mart. Does anyone have any suggestions?

With the digital coupons, how many items can they be used on? For example, if I buy 5 magic erasers, will the digital coupon take $1 off all five?
Guest
The digital coupons will only come off once unless it’s one of Kroger’s special sales where they say you can use up to 5 in one transaction.
Guest
They can only be used on 1 item so if you buy 5 it will only come off 1, you would need additional coupons for the other 4.
Amber
Thanks so much! I thought that was the case, but the Colgate coupon deal from a few weeks ago threw me off since I used it 5x. I now see the Colgate coupon did say I could use it that many times.

Can you use a b2g1 coupon with two regular coupons?
lori
I wondered that too. Anyone?
Guest
It can depend on your store or cashier, the general rule is no because the coupon is attached to the two you are buying and getting the one for free so your using a coupon already for the two, but sometimes stores or cashiers will allow you to use others on the two you are buying. At walgreens or cvs the answer would be yes but at Kroger it’s a bit different.
