I received an email from another blogger about requesting a coupon for $0.50/1 Kangaroo Pita Pockets for this week’s Kroger sale. The only problem is, the coupon arrives by mail and take about 4 weeks. That won’t do us any good for this week’s sale, but the Kangaroo Pita Pockets are frequently on sale at Kroger for $1.00, making them FREE with the doubled coupon!
This got me thinking…why don’t we request coupons for upcoming Kroger sales? Since there’s no way to see 4-6 weeks in the future I decided to grab a few old Kroger sale ads to find items that frequently go on sale for which we don’t usually see coupons.
I thought we could make this a weekly thing, so we can stay consistent. I used to request coupons from companies via email quite often with GRAND results, although I wasn’t consistent with this and eventually just stopped doing it altogether. This will keep us on the straight and narrow.
Companies LOVE to hear from their consumers and are more than happy to send a coupon. You don’t even need to actually come right out and ask for a coupon (although you could). Just send them a simple comment, compliment, critisism – be honest. In most cases, they will send you a coupon(s).
So, here’s the deal! Each week, we will be emailing 3 Companies in hopes of receiving a coupon for inevitable Kroger sales! (If you don’t shop at Kroger, you can still play. :)) I will give you the 3 Companies and a link to the contact or email page for said company. Then it’s up to you to email them your honest comments.
Planning Ahead Project Week #1:
Kangaroo Pita Products – frequent sale price, $1.00
(this is the actual coupon offer page – thanks, SweetPenniesFromHeaven!)
Gatorade – frequent sale price, $1.00 or less
Hot or Lean Pockets – frequent sale price, $1.64
(will need a UPC code from product)
I have several products/companies in mind for future weeks, but if you know of an item that we don’t see a lot of coupons for, PLEASE email me at couponkatarina @ gmail .com (remove spaces) and we’ll get it added to the next week’s list!
What do you think? Are you in?
