Kroger 4x Fuel Rewards has returned starting TODAY (11/17)!!
Get 4x Fuel Points when you buy gift cards at Kroger! There are hundreds to choose from…you can browse through them here. Gift cards are a great way to save on gas! If you plan on shopping at these stores or giving these as gifts anyway, you may as well take advantage of the gas discount!
For each increment of 100 Points redeemed at the pump, 10¢ off per gallon is awarded up to $1 off per gallon.
Example:
- 100 Points = 10¢ off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up
- 200 Points = 20¢ off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up
- 1,000 Points = $1 off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up
How do I earn Points?
There are three ways to earn Points in Kroger stores:
1. Spending on Groceries (normal exclusions apply): $100 in Groceries = 100 Points
2. Non-federally funded Prescriptions: 2 Prescriptions = 100 Points
3. Double 4X Gift Card Points (normal exclusions apply): $50 in Gift Cards = 100 200 Points
Also, be sure to scroll through the current Kroger digital coupons that will earn you even MORE off the gift cards themselves! I saw a couple for Chipotle this morning, and there are a few more for other stores that I spotted last week (no longer available?), so keep your eye out for those extra savings!

It has been my experience in the past that certain Visa/MC work and others do not. The variable amount ones definitely do not. I have gotten a $200 pre-paid Visa in the past, paid the 5.95 or 6.95 activation fee, and then gotten 800 fuel points or 80c/gallon. Even on my 18-gallon tank that’s a $14+ savings, more if you get closer to the 35 gallon max. I just used the GC to pay bills online.
I tried to get a $25 gift card this morning and it did not work for me. The cashier asked to see my digital coupon so I pulled it up on my phone and she said that it might not work because the fine print said may not be available in some states. She told me that she would try to verify it and to try again another time (she sees me twice a week at least so she knows I’ll be back). 🙂
I tested out the $25 Chipotle giftcard deal where you could use the $7 digital coupon and it did work for me this morning. This was outside Columbus, Ohio.
I just checked the Kroger website and the dates for my area (Columbus, OH) are Nov 18th- Dec 8th.
Has anyone actually bought a Chipotle card of either value and have the digital coupon work?
I did both deals last night and neither digital coupon worked. I’m absolutely certain I bought the right gift cards. I also saw some complaints on their Facebook page and another blog that the coupons didn’t work for them either. At this point, I would recommend only doing the deal during normal service desk hours to make sure you can get your money back. My store was sort of snippy about it being $19 back but they verified I bought the right item and made the adjustment.
I did both tonight (11/18) in Louisiana and it worked without any problem whatsoever!
Do you know if you can buy more than one Chipotle gift card and get the $7 off each one? Or is it only off one gift card?
Jenn, digital coupons are limit 1 per card.
I live near Cypress Texas and none of the 4 Kroger carry Chipotle gift cards. I will be calling Kroger Corporate.

Be sure to watch the register if you try to use the Chipotle digital coupon. I bought the $25 card this morning and the $7 did not come off. The CS agent told me it was because the card rang up as a generic “gift card” and not as Chipotle specific. So just a heads up to watch and be sure the saving comes off!
Kroger is also offering $2.00 off gas for 2000 pts.
