I have 5 of the BOGO coupons so how many would I need to get for this deal? It is super confusing to me with all of the BOGOs going on. My store does allow 5 of the same coupon.
patricia
trying to explain the bogof skinny cow q, but i still didn’t see my comment…..
buy 6 use 3 q’s that are bogof(forget about the sale krogers has them at to figure this one out, u need 1 q for each set of 2 and u will have 3 sets of 2(hence 6 candies) you get 3 free, plus the sale gives u 2 additional free ones because you b2g1f, and u got 4 got 2 free…ur q’s take off the other 3..u get 5 free, oop pay .89 divided by 6 candies = .14833333 each candy
patricia
then, the nestle 60/3 q is valid on butterfingers, nestle crunch, 100 grand, and baby ruth, so these you can mix and match for this q, but just buy in quantities of 3 for the sale and the q requirement…like i only have 3 of those q’s, so i will be buying 9, pay .89 x 6(3 are free)= 5.34 -3.60 ..(3) qs at .60 doubled= 1.74 oop divided by 9 candies =.19333333 each
patricia
buy 4 dove .79+.79+free+.79 (use, 2 q’s ..50c off 2 dove bars, cause you are getting 4 candy bars
buy 4 3 musketeers .79+.79+free+.79 (use 2 qs..50c off (2) 3 musketeers bars, cause you are getting 4 candy bars
buy 4 m&ms .79+.79+free+free(this last free one is because up in the dove and musketeers, you bought 2 at the end so this is the 3rd bar to that group…just mixed and matched….all .79 candy bars will mix and match at b2 get 1 free, fyi :)..(use 2 q’s…50c off 2 m&ms, cause you are getting 4 bags of m&ms singles)
….you just ignore that they are having a b2g1free sale…that is their sale price on purchasing these…the q’s are on how many you get…50 cents off of 2 candies and you can use 2 internet printables of each kind…so..
i got 12 candies, paid .79 x 8=6.32 – $6….(6) q’s at 50 c off 2 that doubled to a $1 at my store =.32 divided by 12 =.02666667 for each bar
in this scenerio, i was making the most of my q’s and the b2g1f sale by buying them all in the same transaction since they will mix and match at .79 price..now if you are buying the .89 candies, those all will mix and match as well within their price range, but they have different q’s for those internet printables that were bogof and katie has those scenerios laid out above as well…so to recap .79 b2g1free’s candies mix and match with each other only and the .89 mix and match with each other only….do not do .79 and .89 in same scenerios…hope this is not too confusing

I get so confused with trying to figure out how to actually use a coupon when it is for buy one get one, and they are already on sale to get one for free. So, is it that the two that we are actually paying for uses a coupon that then makes one of them free? It just seems to me that we could only use a BOGO coupons on the two that we are actually paying for, which would be 2 coupons. For each six candy bars, two will be free anyway if it is buy 2 get one. Can someone please help me with this.

They did not ring up Buy 2 Get 1 at my Kroger just now. Is this only a regional deal?
patricia
ok, carissa, this is how i think it goes in the first scenerio…buy4(they are buy2 get 1 free on sale), so you pay for 3 @79c each, cause one will be free already=2.37-(1) 50 cent q that doubles(if your store does), so -$1=1.37, then – off the 2nd 50 cent q that doubles…so -$1=.37 oop….divide that by the 4 you just bought =.0925 cents for each candy bar…however, i think that if you were to do all the first 3 scenerios using the 2 like q’s like it is laid out, so you get the 4 dove bars, 4 3musketeers, 4 m&ms all in one transaction…after q’s and all the buy one get one frees, you pay .32 oop, makes them like .02666667 cents per candy bar…best scenerio i think….going off of jennifers comment above and katies way of describing what to use helped me to arrive at this scenerio, gonna try this tomorrow 🙂 hope i’m right…

I think I am confused with this deal scenario. How does it make them. 09 cents? Can someone please explain?
janet
Katarina, does Kroger take coupons for their free items?
Bobbie
I think what she means is that we would actually need to put 6 of the candies in our cart bc they are B2G1 free. So if we only bought 4 we would be short the freebie. That’s how I interpreted what she was saying 🙂
janice
I think what Candice is saying is that you need to buy 6 because you are using a coupon for a free item.
Katarina
Jennifer – thanks! I didn’t even think about mixing & matching them that way. GREAT scenario! )
Katarina
Candice, thank you! If your store allows more than 2 “like” coupons, you can buy (6) and use (3) coupons. I did it this way b/c most stores limit you to just 2 identical coupons.
Jennifer
We could try this scenario also if your store doubles: Buy (4) M&M’s and (2) 3Musketeers,Total $3.16, Use (2) .50/2 M&M’s, Use (1) .50/2 3Musketeers, Total would be .16 for 6 candy bars, If I did my math right that would be around .03 cents per candy bar.
Candice
First, my co-workers and I absolutely LOVE your site!!
I’m sorry if this is wrong, but I think the M&M scenario should read buy (6) instead of buy (4); Please help if I am wrong!!
