This deal worked perfecrly for me! Got Ibotta rebate plus KCB…and two rang up zero!
Deal didn’t work. I loaded the $2.00 cash back (good up to 5X) the day before going. I bought (4) of shampoo shown, $2.00 cash back didn’t come off and the employee would only take the $2.00 off twice because the (2) were free from B1G1.
The cash back is not instant. It will apply to your account about 48 hours after your purchase. If you purchased on the June 12, log into your account tomorrow to see the money. I have no idea if you will get the money for the free one or not.
I just checked my account and got $8 back, so you do get cash back on the free ones.
Did you notice on the receipt if your store rings them up as 2 items at half price, or 1 at full price and one for free?
My store rings them up for full price and zero on the second one.

Looks like I will have to set up a PayPal account. My next question is when you transfer it to PayPal then can you transfer it to your bank account? Does PayPal take a fee?
You can load it to your Kroger card and then it comes off like a digital coupon the next time you shop. Usually the clerk will ask if you want to use it. To transfer to paypal, you have to get to at least $20. Paypal doesn’t charge a fee for you to transfer to your bank account.
The Kroger Cash Back is misleading if you don’t look close. When I look, I see “$2.00 Cash Back on Alba Botanica products” and think oh great! There it is! But if you read closer, it says “Buy ONE (1) Alba Botanica Acnedote product, any variety or size, Get $2.00 cash back”. Initially you think its any Alba product but that’s not really the case. Yeah, this one got me last night. I didn’t get the super deal I thought I would.
There are 3 Alba Botanica rebates in KCB – Hawaiian, Acnedote and Even Advanced. Couponing can be tricky so it helps to filter by brand name / load all the offers on the screen before searching, check that clipped rebates appear in My Loaded Deals and which items qualify under Shop All Items. If a particular rebate doesn’t appear, it has either reached its limit or KCB pulled it. Fastest fingers first lol!

Yes, it did for me in Texas.
This deal does not work as described. You do not get the $2.00 from the kroger cash back on the free item.
So maybe only if your store rings them up as half price (like in the first scenario) will you get the KCB on all of them.
