So Red Gold tomatoes are on sale with the Mega Event at my Kroger for .39 and SavingStar has a one or many deal that you get $5 when you spend $12 on Red Gold Tomato products. Unfortunately, I had already stocked up on these last week and really didn’t want to buy 30 more cans of tomatoes – but it occurred to me that the price on the receipt came up as .89, then -.50 for the Mega Event reduction on the next line. I went ahead and bought the necessary 14 cans, that at .89 each got me to the $12 mark, but haven’t heard yet from SavingStar what my total is and therefore don’t know if my little gimmick worked. If I still need to buy the other 16, I need to go get them tonight – anyone have any experience with this? Regardless, it is an absolutely fabulous deal for tomatoes.

This was my first shopping trip using coupons and shopping a Mega Event at Kroger! I have been trying to save for my annual vacation to Florida with my boyfriend, so I’ve been keeping up with this site to try and save through couponing! Yesterday, I bought $126.00 worth of stuff, and brought my total down to only $67.39!!

I’m not sure if they just weren’t marked or if they aren’t part of the sale at my Kroger in Washington Court House, Ohio, but the Kroger brand chicken broth were marked 2/1.00 instead of the mega sale.

My Boost coupon from 3/1 RP states towards the bottom that it excludes Kids Boost Essentials. Check your coupons before trying to use them.
