The 4x Fuel Points has never been regional in the past, but it appears that this one was. Or was moved and never expressed to me. The next promotion will begin November 15th.
Kroger 4x Fuel Points when you buy gift cards has returned and is now only valid on ONE day, November 8. It looks like you are just going to be able to purchase these gift cards using your Kroger Card and don’t need to download a coupon.
There are hundreds of gift cards to choose from…you can browse through them here. Gift cards are a great way to save on gas! If you plan on shopping at these stores or giving these as gifts anyway, you may as well take advantage of the gas discount!
For each increment of 100 Points redeemed at the pump, 10¢ off per gallon is awarded up to $1 off per gallon.
Example:
- 100 Points = 10¢ off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up
- 200 Points = 20¢ off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up
- 1,000 Points = $1 off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up
How do I earn Points?
There are three ways to earn Points in Kroger stores:
1. Spending on Groceries (normal exclusions apply): $100 in Groceries = 100 Points
2. Non-federally funded Prescriptions: 2 Prescriptions = 100 Points
3. Double 4X Gift Card Points (normal exclusions apply): $50 in Gift Cards = 100 200 Points
This was working yesterday in Dayton, OH. Not sure if the promo will run again, but ours was running “regionally” here in OHIO. Keep in mind Kroger Krazy is based out of Columbus, OH but even sales that run there don’t always run in my area at the same time. I only know it worked because one of my friends purchased GCs yesterday and got like 2k in fuel points. I’m sure it will run again before Christmas or at least the double fuel points will 🙂
It did not work at my Kroger location in Starkville, MS. I had a stack of GCs ready to purchase, but decided to only purchase one in case it did not work. THANK GOODNESS I did that because my points were doubled…..not quadrupled as stated in this post.
Please make sure your sources are double/tripled/quadruple checked prior to posting these deals. I don’t you to lose my trust. It may have been tarnished today, but it can be healed.
We were so excited for this deal but now I am so pissed because we went and bought $440 worth of GCs for Christmas presents only to find out this isn’t true. I don’t understand where this wrong info came from.
I just had the same issue…so embarrassing. ..called corporate and they apologized an stated that this is not taking place right now and are unable to honor it due to not being a Kroger website…UGH!!
Just bought $100 worth of gift cards to find out sale does not begin until the 19th. Just had the Store Mgr calling corporate to find this out.
Luckily, he have me the points anyway. PLEASE be extremely careful when making these purchases. Normally, I never have any problems with this site, but today was a nightmare with this faux paux and the Catalinas posted as NONE of them worked!

Just went to my kroger here in central Indiana. Our manager said the 4x points is not until Nov. 20th. This gets really confusing when the prices and promotions vary from state to state.

If I purchase a Kroger gc will I also get 4x fuel rewards on it as well as say Subway?
It is posted in my Kroger that Kroger GC will not be awarded the 4X fuel points, all others yes!
Is this only in certain regions? My Kroger in the Dallas area isn’t advertising anything about this promotion.
Keep in mind that the 4x the points also qualifies for the Shell gift cards, and you can redeem your Kroger fuel points at most Shells. Considering it cost more than $50 for most to fuel up then by buying a $50 card your giving yourself .20 off a gallon and money for fuel you know you’re gonna use any way. Helps save some money for Holiday travels. 🙂
Good reminder! I always buy gift cards at Kroger, then use the gc as cash. I really love when they offer $5 or $10 off a gc for something I’m going to buy anyway 🙂

FYI. I got a Catalina ad indicating the Holiday 4X Fuel Points Gift Card promotion will begin November 19th. So don’t go too crazy trying to get to Kroger on Saturday, you don’t have to wait too long for the next one.
