It’s another installment of My Week in Pictures! Here’s what I found on my phone from this week…ENJOY! 🙂
Last week, it was SNOW SNOW SNOW around here, but this past week it was all about sub-zero temperatures. I cannot remember it ever being this cold. At one point my car said it was -17. Ouch. I broke out the reinforcements!
Early this week I drove to Columbus to visit friends. Can anyone else make out the amazing rainbow I got to enjoy for almost an hour!? It was awesome. The picture doesn’t do it justice.
So while staying with my friends, I had the most amazing burger of my life, was treated like a royal guest and laughed until my whole body hurt. But now…let’s talk about the way this toilet paper roll was hung in the guest bathroom. And now we shall take a vote. Is this the correct way, or should the toilet paper be hung the other way? 😀
The next morning I was treated to breakfast at the Starliner Diner. If you are in in the Columbus area, you MUST eat here. Don’t let the appearance fool you…an AMAZING cuban breakfast is waiting for you.
Now here’s where the day starts to go downhill. Apparently, ALL that day…I had been wearing 2 completely different boots. Like NOBODY noticed this?? REALLY!?? I was headed to Cincinnati for a Kroger event (details on that later this week) and literally had NOTHING else to wear, so I found a mall and was forced to buy new boots. Terrible, I know.
One of my favorite places to “park” myself to get some work done is Panera Bread. I PREFER Starbucks COFFEE, but Panera is just cozier. However! The thing I do NOT like about Panera, is that they have a total of like 2 outlets in the entire place. I tweeted them about this and received no reply. 🙂 So, I am always trying to make sure I get one of those spaces near an outlet, especially if I’m going to be there awhile. And the coveted corner booth (shown above) just makes the whole day better. 🙂

I would have had to change the TP and my paper towel goes the same way. As far as the boots go, OMG! My hubbie wore two different similar shoes to work one day. When he got home I pointed it out to him and I ask him if he notice that he had on different shoes. He said he knew their was something different about his walk, and said as we age supposedly we shrink so he thought one of his legs was shrinking….lol
I appreciate that the TP is at least a soft looking decent brand. We are using some thin (Marcal) brand that is like Scotts because we had coupons for it….so I would not complain about this BACKWARDS roll in the slightest.
Mine is worse than a gas stations but at least it is on the roll properly. And actually I was in the bathroom at the mall and they had better paper than I do in my own home. What us couponers must endure…….
The rainbow… I can only imagine how beautiful that was. I’ve seen a few that, literally, I had to pull my car over to the side of the road and just gawk in complete AWE!!! The toilet paper … ladies — do. not. touch. the TP. It’s right. Because I said so. lmao
And finally, the boots… when I was in high school, I tried on one of two different shoes one morning, trying to figure out which pair to wear. Got distracted. Mom drove me down our long-ass driveway to the bus, realized just as it pulled to a stop to pick me up that I still had two different shoes on. Mom was great about it, let me go home to get one complete pair of shoes on and drove me to school. School was only about 5 miles away from home. So, not a big deal. Also, one day (a different day from the aforementioned shoe incident) I didn’t hear my alarm and woke up late. Was so panicked about possibly missing the bus, I just threw on some clothes, grabbed my backpack and ran out the door. Got all the way to school and realized I had not put on a bra! Yeah, I walked around ALL DAY with my books/folders covering my chest! Jeez! :0)
Who cares which way it’s hung? Not me! Personally I just appreciate someone who refills the empty roller. In my house there apparently are no rocket scientist as that person is always me :/
LOL to the boots and all the comments!! I could totally see myself doing that. The TP definitely needs to be the other way. My hubby converted me as well. Great pics looking forward to next weeks! 😉
TP prefered the other way. Boots are REALLY funny! A gal at work wore her flat shoes one day in black and the other navy. We all laughed so much. But then she did it again awhile later……

I vote that the tp needs to be flipped! I always fix my moms tp…you’d think she would get the hint by now? lol And about the boots…I love when that happens. That way we have to go shopping 🙂
Agreed that toilet paper is all wrong, but it took awhile to convert me. My parents have always hung it as pictured, but when I got married my husband was used to the opposite. I opposed until he showed me that his way (paper towels as well) displayed the decorative prints of the paper and the other way hid them (who knew a guy would notice that!). I was sold and now my parents get so annoyed that I change theirs whenever I am over!

Hangin my t.p the same way!! Not sure why but I seem to like it this way! Great week in pictures, I myself seem to do thing such as wearing 2 diff boots lol but that just goes to show we are all human 😉 (and have kids) lol !! Have a great week & thank you for the couponing tips!

I agree, Panera is a cozier place to sit & work 🙂 It’s dangerous for me though – their menu is too yummy!

They are building a new Starliner Diner too (right across the street) and I hear it will be bigger but the tacky will all remain. P.S. I vote for CORRECT on the TP. I hear how you hang your roll says something about your personality. Obviously this person is super funny.
–I hang my toilet paper sideways and pull it from right to left in one swooping motion.
–Starliner Diner is the real deal!! Used to eat there all the time when I lived in Cbus. Huevos Rancheros…delightful. Is it still in Hilliard?
