Ok, guys…I did not expect to get the General Mills Catalina full inclusions list to you tonight as my sale does not begin until Monday, but reader Julie was so helpful in sending these pictures in so that we could get a headstart!! A big thank you to her!!
Depending on your store’s doubling policy you can get FREE Suddenly Salad, Chex Mix, Green Giant Veggie Chips, Betty Crocker Cake Mix, Hamburger Helper, Totino’s Party Pizza, Progresso Soup and Recipe Starters after coupons and Catalina!! This sale is AMAZING! Even if your store no longer doubles, these are SUPER STOCKUP prices!!
Let me know if you find something not in the list and I will add it in…I have a feeling there will be regional differences.
As a reminder, here is all of the information I know so far:
- Catalina offer starts with THIS week’s sale cycle, so as early as today (Sunday) for some regions. At this time it looks to be a ONE WEEK promo, but I am not 100% on that. UPDATE: According to the information customer service has…this is in fact a ONE WEEK sale.
- Buy 5 participating General Mills items and receive a $5 OYNO Catalina at checkout (valid on almost anything in the store, like cash). This is a STORE promo, not a national Catalina.
- Limit is 4 REWARDS per transaction, which means you can get 20 participating items each transaction.
- Kroger Catalinas almost ALWAYS roll – 99.9% of the time,
but I will confirm this as soon as I test it.These ARE rolling! 🙂
Roll = turn around and use the Catalina you just earned to pay for subsequent transactions, then another Catalina prints. - Stores are allowed to set limits on how many transactions you do in one day, how many Catalinas you can redeem in one day, etc., so don’t be surprised to see that happen mid-week once they see the shelves start to empty.
UPDATE: As of 6/4, the Catalina is now printing with a barcode!! (pictured above)
At this time it has NO barcode. Do NOT let this alarm you. Hopefully you have a cashier/manager who is aware of this and doesn’t give you a hard time. Since this is a STORE promo, they should be able to enter the code on the coupon when accepting the coupons. No biggy.
Fine print states “Customers can qualify for up to 4 reward coupons per transaction when purchasing participating General Mills items. There is no limit to total reward coupons issued during the promotion time period and actual coupon redemptions on future shopping orders are unlimited.” LOVE that they put all of that in writing!!

For some reason I always have problems around midnight. I could do one transaction at 11:50pm, everything can go smooth and perfect, get all deserved catalinas. Most of the time for me, if I were to do the exact same transaction at say 12:01am, right after you hear the catalina machines adjusting to the new day, things go haywire. I’ve had things ring up without correct sale prices, and 80% of the time, my catalinas will not print. I have no idea why. It has happened to me so many times, I just make sure I either get done before midnight, or wait until 1230am(which I did tonight and everything went fine.) I hope this helps you out.

Can you please tell me where the deal scenario you had online line last night (June 6) went? It was for the buy 5 get back $5.00. I remember it had general mills cereal, cake mixes and etc….thank you.

Felicia, yes – these items should be included at all Krogers. You can do self checkout too. 🙂
My store had $.50/1 off peelies on the ProForce Yogurt so they were only $.49 each. And I found $.75/1 on the Green Giant snack chips so they were only $.25 after catalina! Thanks for the great match-ups!
Im so upset with my Kroger. I had 5 transactions of 20 items each. They were out of quite a few things so i had to replan my transactions in the store. When did my first transactions my catalina’s did not print! It’s midnight and my store closes at 1am. She is the only person up front. She just wrote on my receipt that i didn’t get them. So i hope i get them tomorrow! Took all that time to plan..and shop and couldn’t get half my items : (
If the things are in clearance ,do the Catalina still prints or not ,because at my store they have some General Mills treats on sale for 1.50.
krisib, if you think you asked a question that was already CLEARLY explained by the deal match-up, then yes, i was referring to you. some of the questions have already been CLEARLY explained, all we have to do is to READ. now if we were to clarify, then that’s a different thing. but come on, this website is already helping us all a lot, we should also exert some effort to help ourselves, too!

Sara You can use them on your next transaction and you can use them the same day. That’s what makes it so awsome!
also can you use the cats the same day or do you have to come back another day

Cindi if that was directed at me I was asking because sometimes things are included that aren’t in the inclusion list and also because my ad wasn’t out until this morning. Maybe you should spend more time learning manners and if you can’t say something nice don’t say it at all. Some people on here do not understand catalinas and are asking questions so they can get in on this deal just like the rest of us. If you aren’t reading their comments to give constructive positive feedback then maybe you shouldn’t reply….

If I do four sets of five and get $20 in rewards, are they printing in $5 increments or a lump of $20?
Unfortunately all of these foods are processed, loaded with fat, sugar and salt and shouldn’t be consumed!

I’m in Indiana and our sales start on Thursdays. I’m at my store now and nothing is listed. Should I expect this to begin on Thursday? Or is it only at select Kroger stores?
Tim, yes this sale should start on Thursday along with your sale cycle.
To simplify the rolling issue I separate the non catalina items and use the catalinas to pay for those things. For example, I bought 5 boxes of Hamburger Helper and got a $5 cat. next transaction I paid for the ground meant with the catalina and so on.
They’re printing with barcodes now.

Unfortunately, you cannot use them in the same transaction you are earning them in. That’s why the ability to “roll” a catalina is important to some of us. 🙂 Hope this helps!
I don’t use a lot of Catalina’s, do forgive me. But what does it mean by everyone asking if these “roll?”
Also, can I use these in the same transaction that I purchase the qualifying items? Or do I have to come back and purchase more?

David: The first 2 days of the deal, my catalinas printed without barcodes. When I went to redeem them, the cashier manually entered the catalina without any problems. She just checked with management and it was fine. I did the deal again this morning and they NOW have barcodes.

Unfortunately, those cereals don’t appear to be included. The signage at my store did not include any of them, although I did not ring any up to check. I did ring up the MultiGrain Peanut Butter Cheerios and they did not have the symbol showing they were included. I was bummed about the Chex, especially.
I had no problems earlier in the day. Went later on and at first they were not going to even take my catalina’s and it was the store manager doing it. After awhile he let me. He first said they have already been used because it has no barcode. I told them they haven’t and that they are just printing out like that.
In my area krogers (northern WV), Not all GM cereals are on sale. Only the ones listed above. Hth
I stocked up on Totino’s pizzas just in time for for kids being out of school. The cashiers at my store had no idea how to ring up the catalina without the barcode printing but finally figured it out after a few minutes. My coupons printed for the first transaction but not the second 🙁
My sale starts Wednesday. A question for those of you whose sale has already began… Is it only a select few General Mills cereals on sale? Like chex, lucky charms, cinnamon toast crunch, etc. aren’t listed above but I have coupons for and was hoping they were on sale.
Amanda, it is possible that other regions will have other varieties included in the sale, but so far these are the only ones being reported.

Does anyone know anything about the catalinas printing without any bar code. I have heard people are having trouble using the catalina because of this.
Karissa, you can mix and match any participating items (2 cheerios, 3 betty crocker, whatever). Make sure you buy items in multiples of 5, and also double check on the tag for each item that it is, in fact, a participating item! That is very important for these sales when you have to purchase a certain number of items for the catalina coupon to print. Good luck!
The Nestle water did not generate a catalina at my store either so I had to return and rebuy new items.
Okay, I’m just now starting out doing the couponing thing and it is confusing me so much! ughh. for the catalinas can i mix and match as long as there a total of 5 or 10 or 15 ect? like 3 betty crocker mixes and 2 honey nut cheerios would be one $5 coupon printed? or is it 5 of the same qualifying item? Sorry if i sound oblivious lol

Laineybopp, Albertsons is not a Kroger Affiliate. It should be across all Kroger stores. Some do not advertise certain sales. Best bet is to either call your local store or stop in. It looks like the participating items all have tags
Our store in Louisville, KY had some of the NV Protein bars marked down to $1.99! Good through 6/8. 50 cents a box is great!!
I notice that you have links to a Spanish web sight for coupons. How much trouble do you have using these at Kroger when most people can not read the Spanish writting ?

At my Kroger, the Nestle Pure Life water did not ring up in the promo. It is in the ad though so they gave me a $5 gift card to make up for the catalina that didn’t print.

If you can only use the Kroger digital coupons once and they don’t double how are the progresso recipe starters free?
Laken – $1.50 minus the $0.50 digital coupon = $1, then when you buy 5 items, you can a $5 Catalina which is basically another $1 off per item. So free when you mix and match with 4 other items. 😉
The veggie chips are good. We eat the green giant chips w/sea salt. They’re good to much on just by themselves… but we use them to dip in hummus too. they dont have an overpowering taste.

Zach, you can use them just like cash on your next order ALONG with other coupons. 🙂
you can get up to 4 deals in one transaction. That is if you buy 20 items you’ll get 4 $5 catalinas, but remember you MUST buy in sets of 5 to get the deal, if you only buy 19 items you’ll only get 3 catalinas. Hope that helps!
